On start of new academic session a function for distribution of books, note books, school bags, uniforms etc. to the poor students was organized by Prayas Social Welfare Society (Regd.) on Dt. 06/04/08 at D.C.Model Sr. Sec. School which was graced by Sh. Brijender Singh, IAS, Deputy commissioner Faridabad as chief Guest and was presided over by Sh. S.P. Aggarwal Chairman Globe Capacitors Ltd. Along with Sh. Anil Goel, Sh. S.K. Jain & Sh. Ram Kumar Gupta as the Special Guest of honour.

At the outset all the guest were welcomed by the chairman & other office bearers of the NGO. Sh. M.L. Gupta chairman gave a brief account of the activities of the Society and brought to the notice of the audience the achievement made so for.

Shri Brijender Singh, IAS, Chief Guest of the function highly applauded the programs under taken by the Society and ensured his all out support for expansion of the program.

He urged the management of the NGO to came forward to help in the implementation of the program of the Government under National Child Labour Project.

Vote of thanks was given by Sh. H.S. Malik Director of Prayas.

Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Mrs. Jasmeet Singh, Chair Person Red Cross Society, Sh. J.N.Gehlot, Secretary Red Cross Society, Sh. J.P.Malhotra President Chamber of commerce & industry, Sh. Satish Sharma Executive Director B.L.B Ltd. New Delhi, Sh. Jagat Madan, Sh. Pawan Kumar Gupta, Sh. M.R.Singla, T.L.Jindal, R.K.Arya, S.S.Gussain, Surinder Gera, M.S.Tanwar & Many Others.

   

Opening of 10 Centres, Called as School each comprising of fifty children have been started under National Child Labour Project.

   

Our Teacher's monthly meeting cum seminar were held at D.C.Model Sr. Sec. School Head office of Prayas SWS which was addresses by Dr. Geeta Khurana, M.D.(Path.). Sh.M.L.Chatrath, Social Activist & Incharge Rotary Blood Bank, Sh. Rakesh Gupta from Art of Living & Sh. Pawan Kumar Gupta Gen. Secy. Prayas. All the speakers express their views on the importance & necessity of blood donation and motivated the teachers for the same.

A brief on art of living was presented by Sh. Rakesh Gupta & he emphasized upon the participants to work for drug de-addiction.

   

Blood Donation Camp & Drug De-addiction Camp were organized jointly by Prayas Social Welfare Society (Regd.) and Art of Living on 18/05/2008 at D.C.Model Sr.Sec.School from 9 am to 1 pm. 112 units of blood were collected at the collection centre in the Rotary Blood bank at Santo Ka Gurudwara Faridabad from the doners transported from D.C.Model Sr. Sec. School & around 150 patient were checked & given medicine & consultation. Vehicle carrying the first group of donors were flagged off by Sh. T.M. Lalani Chairman Indication Instrument Ltd. Jointly with Sh. M.K. Miglani IAS(Retd.), Chairman Advisory Board of Prayas SWS. The function was graced by Shri Ramesh Bondwal President Manufacturers Association of Faridabad as Chief Guest accompanied by Sh. Ramneek Prabhakar Gen.Secy. MAF.

Sh. M.L.Gupta Chairman Prayas SWS and Sh. D.P. Sharma Coordinator Art of Living welcomed the Chief Guest and other Guests. They also high lighted the importance & utility of blood donation giving brief introduction of Prayas SWS & Art Of Living.

Sh.M.K. Miglani IAS(Retd.) also high lighted the injurious effects of drug addiction and also importance of blood donation. Similar views were expressed by Sh.Ramneek Prabhakar G.S. M.A.F. and exhorted the audience to donate blood as much as they could. The Chief Guest appreciated highly the social services being rendered by Prayas and Art of Living. Sh Jagat Madan President of Prayas gave a vote of thanks. The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Sh.M.L.Sharma Ex-President FISA, Sh.T.L. Jindal vice president & Sh. Pawan Gupta Genl.Secy. Sh.M.R. Singla Treasurer from Prayas & Dr.Satish Guglani, Smt. Santosh Gupta, Sh. Rakesh Gupta, Sh. Sanjeev from Art of Living.
